A new way of working with Full Stop 

The past year has been a year like no other. At Full Stop, we’ve learned important lessons and developed new skills. We’ve also built a repertoire of coping strategies that have enabled us to support our own team, but also our clients as we’ve navigated through these difficult times together.

Despite the challenges of the past year, we’re incredibly proud of the support we’ve been able to offer. No matter what life throws at us, the Full Stop team is committed to being your friendly, knowledgeable and competent partner in business, giving you the best service around – whether that’s via Zoom, or hopefully soon in real life.

 

 

New service packages for our clients

 

Like many businesses adapting to the new normal, we’ve taken the opportunity to review the support we provide and have devised new service packages that we’ll roll out to new and existing Full Stop clients.

 

These new packages will allow us to build on what we’ve achieved with you so far – helping to keep your figures up to date, and staying in touch regularly with timely and essential updates and catch up calls. We’ll focus our time and effort doing what we do best: providing you with the visibility and knowledge to move your business forward.

 

Our service will be focused on being the trusted advisor that you can turn to whenever you need us. We’ll be your full business supporter. You’ll take over some of the day to day routine tasks, and we’ll focus our time providing you with up to date management information, checking in on you regularly, and being there when you need support. This is where we believe our focus needs to be to make sure we can provide the best level of support for you and all of our clients.

 

We’ll build on the excellent year-end accounts, VAT return and payroll service we provide. That next vital step is helping you push your business forward with regular information, guidance and support.

Taking your books in-house

 

From years of experience with many business clients, we believe that taking control of your books in-house is the best way for you to get a real handle on your finances.

 

With our support and training, we’ll hand over the day to day recording of your business transactions in Xero to you. You know what’s happening in your business on a daily basis, so with this new way of working, the bookkeeping will be quicker and more accurate for everyone. We’ll then focus our time helping you make sense of those numbers. But don’t worry – we won’t throw you in the deep-end.

 

 

The support you’ll receive

 

Our new service packages will each include refresher training on Xero and Dext (previously Receipt Bank) if you’ve used these tools before, as well as a monthly check-in call to go through any queries face to face.

 

They’ll also be tiered for businesses of different shapes and sizes, with increasing levels of support as your business grows. However, everyone will receive our key services, including:

 

    • Monthly ‘Do Review’ meeting: to review bank transactions that flow into Xero, run a health check on your business to identify any problem areas, and answer any ‘how-to’ queries.
    • Monthly management report: an easy to read report highlighting key figures such as your profit and loss, cash position, what you need to save for tax, and how much you can withdraw from the business.
    • Regular strategic review: we’ll meet monthly or quarterly (depending on package) to focus on cash flow planning, upcoming goals, and identifying ways to achieve those goals.

 

 

Each package also includes:

 

    • Payroll management (number of employees dependent on package)
    • Director’s salary review
    • Quarterly VAT return (if registered)
    • Annual accounts for Companies House
    • Annual corporation tax return
    • Self-assessment tax returns (for up to 2 directors)
    • Annual confirmation statement for Companies House
    • Subscriptions: to Xero (accounting), Dext (receipts) and Float (cash flow)
